Adopt-a-family program
Each year Family Business expresses our gratitude to service members and local families through our holiday "Adopt-A-Family" program, where we provide clothing, toys, essential items, and financial support to families in need. This year our organization will be providing for 5 families to give them a memorable holiday. We hope you can join us in helping us reach our goal for the 2023 year!

Meet the 2023 families
This year, we have the honor of supporting an Active Guard Reserve Soldier and his family—his wife and their soon-to-be 1.5-year-old baby boy. During the last two months of her pregnancy, his wife had to step away from her small business due to being placed on bed rest. The situation became more challenging when their son was born and admitted to the NICU. Trying to navigate life expenses and medical bills has been an uphill battle, compounded by the family's loss of income during the pregnancy.
We hope you join us in making a difference for this military family, ensuring that their son has everything he needs during the holidays. Your generosity will not only brighten their season but also provide much-needed support as they work towards regaining stability.

This year, we have the honor of supporting a service member and his family, including his wife and three children during the holidays. This service member's wife is diagnosed with Pseudo-tumor-cerebri, a rare brain condition leading to blindness, muscle weakness, and over 30 surgeries in the past three years. She faces challenges with insurance coverage for medications, accumulating medical debt, and is currently unable to work based on doctor's orders. Despite these obstacles, she remains a dedicated provider for her family. The spouse's deployment requires family support in caring for the children during her extended illness. Multiple hospital visits, often out of state, have added to the financial strain due to travel expenses and non-covered medical costs. We hope to ease the financial burden on this family during the holidays through providing them with gifts, household essentials, and grocery gift cards. This holiday season, we have the privilege of extending a helping hand to a wonderful family of four who have been facing financial challenges. Our goal is to make the holidays memorable for their four-year-old boy and two-year-old baby girl by providing gifts, clothing, and essential household items to the family. I hope you will join us in making a positive impact and helping this family take a step towards a more hopeful future during this special time of the year.
This year, we have the honor of supporting a family in need during the holidays. While this single mother works hard to support her four children, we hope you can join us in raising funds to ease the financial burden she faces this holiday. With your support, we would like to provide this mother with household essentials and grocery gift cards as well as new clothing and toys for her growing children- ages 2, 8, 13, and 16. We thank you for getting involved and helping deliver a memorable Christmas to a very deserving family!
Our team is supporting a local family of four facing financial hardship this year. Since 2019, the father has been out of work due to a back injury, resulting in no income from his side. The mom has been trying to manage on her own, often selling personal items to pay bills and provide a decent Christmas for her children. While the changing circumstances have been challenging, she tries not to show it. She hopes for a day when she can provide without worries. We hope you join us in supporting this family in providing a worry free Christmas for both the parents as well as their 9 year old daughter and 15 year old son!

How it started
The founders of Family Business began the Adopt-A-Family program 6 years ago with the goal of assisting families in need during the holidays. With the help of our supporters, our program has grown each year, allowing us to assist more families and increase our impact. The funds collected are used to buy each family essential household items such as cleaning supplies and cookware, as well as toys and clothes for the children. We hope that you will join us in this tradition of giving back to those in need.
